IT Project Manager - DM-16950
Description
As the IT Project Manager, you will plan, execute, and close an ICT project. You will work as part of an agile delivery team to enable the department to modernize the Management system to make it easier for providers to submit student enrolment data.
The candidate will be:
- Adept at IT project management, including the management and tracking of dependencies, progress, risks, and issues.
- Able to communicate with senior stakeholders.
- Able to communicate and work with IT development and delivery teams.
- Able to use suitable Agile practices for the development, testing and implementation of IT solutions.
Estimated start date: Monday, 16 January 2023
Initial contract duration: 6 months
Extension term: 12 months
Location of work: ACT
Security clearance: Australian Citizen and must have baseline security clearance and a current police check is required

Criteria
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated project management experience (5 years minimum, 10 years’ desirable) in ICT projects and ability to work in an Agile delivery environment.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering 3+ years ICT projects that involved broad stakeholder engagement with fixed budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both delivery team and business.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, organise workloads and meet challenging deadlines under limited direction.
Desirable criteria
- Experience in influencing, coaching, and developing teams
- Experience in scrum master role
